Archangel Michael Quarter

A place of power
The Archangel Michael Sports Quarter in Ekaterinburg is a unique complex for sports, recreation, and leisure for the whole family. The concept of the entire complex is linked to promoting sports and an active lifestyle among the youth of Ekaterinburg, as well as creating a professional base for sports activities. It will have everything that adults and kids need to do sports, as well as areas for walking and relaxing

Multifunctional sports complex

The key feature will be a modern multifunctional sports complex. There will be a large area for martial arts, the city’s largest fitness centre with a CrossFit area, a spacious café offering sports nutrition, a conference hall for 250 people, and Russia’s largest underground shooting range, which will serve as a training ground for the Practical Shooting Academy. The shooting range is designed for shooting with sport pistols, as well as for airsoft (shooting for children aged 12 and older).

The shooting range will be designed as a single shooting room without columns. The area will be 30 by 86 metres and will be equipped with specialised lighting and an adaptive ventilation system. There are further plans to install a multimedia system in the shooting range to display the shooting process on screens and enable live broadcasts.

Directly opposite the sports complex, a car park with 277 parking spaces has been built, with parking spaces for sports team buses. The car park has a charging station for electric cars and electric buses.

The first indoor extreme park in the Urals

The Quarter will feature the first and only extreme park in the Urals, covering an area of 22,000 square metres with indoor and outdoor areas for skating, of which the indoor part of the park will cover 8,000 square metres.

The park will include a climbing wall, ninja park, trampoline area, street area, skate area, street pump track, children’s pump track, multipurpose hall, parkour area, children’s area, amphitheatre, extreme area, changing rooms, and a medical centre.

Infrastructure and landscaping

For younger family members, there will be a 9,000 square metre park for walking and recreation with benches and walking paths, green spaces, and garden fixtures. The park has a navigation map, litter bins, modern toilets, and infrastructure for people with disabilities.

The area around the street has been improved: a new exit to the bypass road has been built to relieve a traffic jam on Svetlorechenskaya Street and divide traffic flows to Shirokaya Rechka and Chusovskoy Highway.

In order to ensure the safety of pedestrians, bicycle lanes and modern and safe pedestrian crossings with lighting have been installed along the entire street, new pavements have been built, and the road surface has been renewed.

The buildings in the Quarter are decorated with architectural lighting, and the walking areas are decorated with landscape lighting.
