A Foster + Partners' designer has visited the construction site of Russian Copper Company's headquarters.
This week, another delegation from the UK architecture practice Foster + Partners arrived in Yekaterinburg. This time Aleksejus Nevedomskis, interior designer and associate of Foster + Partners, visited the construction site of the “copper house” – the new headquarters of Russian Copper Company.
The building, designed by the world-renowned architecture practice is currently under construction, but an active discussion of its future interiors is already in progress. At working meetings with representatives of the developer – PREMIER Group, Nevedomskis discussed major interior decoration solutions and finish options (unique finishing materials will be used in the “Copper House”), carpets and even office furniture.
Mr. Nevedomskis also visited the project site and looked at the atrium ground floor (already out of the formwork). The designer was impressed by the construction scale, the famous white concrete and the work quality.
The “Copper House” – Russian Copper Company's headquarters in Yekaterinburg – will be the first Foster + Partners' project realized in Russia. The overall area of the offices will total 14,000 square meters. The future 15-floor building will be 87.5 meters high.
