RCC Takes Part in Key Charity Event of the Year
RCC senior executives and major Russian charity organizations have discussed how to make charity more efficient.
The 15th Annual Conference of the Donors Forum Trust in Charity: A New Strategy, held in Moscow, was attended by Russia’s largest charity organizations and representatives of business media, operators of government grant competitions and other industry participants. RCC’s charity fund was represented by Vice President for HR and CSR Anna Shabarova, who took part in the panel discussion Donor and Beneficiary: New Tools to Build up Confidence. She also participated in other discussions about online tools that help charity organizations to communicate better and apply a methodology for assessing social return on investment (SROI).
‘The Russian Copper Company Charity Fund has more than a decade of successful and efficient operation. We target children with severe hearing and eyesight conditions, cancer and cerebral palsy. We also work with disadvantaged individuals in areas where RCC has a presence. We support projects in the spheres of culture, art and intellectual development. We are constantly searching for the most efficient tools for our charity activities. Events like the Donors Forum Conference help us apply the best domestic and global practices so that the Fund can meet its objectives,’ says Anna Shabarova.
The RCC Charity Fund joined the Grantors Association Donors Forum in May 2017. As Russia’s largest association of charity organizations, the Donors Forum promotes charitable work, coordinates philanthropic and charity projects and promotes best practices.
