Vice President for Metal Manufacturing
Born in 1966 in the town of Revda, Sverdlovsk Region. Graduated with honours from Sverdlovsk Mining Technical College, and also earned a degree from the Ural State Technical University.
Aleksei Bakin started his career in 1984 as a setter ina copper-smelting facility at the Mid-Ural Copper Plant in Sverdlovsk Region.In the course of 20 years, he rose through the ranks from setter to the plant’s Head of Technology and Chief Metallurgist.
In 2005, he joined RCC asDirector for Metallurgical Engineering. In 2012, he was appointed Vice President for Metal Manufacturing. Bakin supervises operational activities, as well as deployment of new technologies, performance improvementin the Group’s metallurgical assets, ecological and safety issues, and process flow automation.
In 1996, Aleksei Bakin was awarded the title “Honorary Metallurgist” for his achievements and his contribution to the development of the industry.
