AMUR MINERALS

CEO Bataev Aleksandr

The company is the operator of the development of the Malmyzhsky copper deposit. This promising world-class deposit was discovered in 2006. It is located on the territory of the Nanai and Amur districts of the Khabarovsk region on the right bank of the Amur river, 274 km from Khabarovsk and 125 km from Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

The balance reserves of the Malmyzhsky deposit are estimated at 5,156 million tonnes of copper and 278 tonnes of gold.

To develop the deposit in two stages, it is planned to launch a mining and processing plant with a processing capacity of 56 million tonnes of ore per year in the period 2023-2024.

Innovative technologies for mining and processing of minerals, which will be implemented at the Malmyzhskoye deposit, will ensure maximum environmental safety of production.

The project will have a strategic importance for the development of the Far East and the Russian copper industry.

In February 2019 at the Russian investment forum Sochi-2019, Russian Copper Company has signed several cooperation agreements in the framework of implementing its first project of the Far East: with the government of the Khabarovsk region and the Agency of the Far East to attract investment and support exports and with Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (PJSC FGC UES), which will provide technical accession of the future enterprise to the Unified Energy system.

The new enterprise will create 2.5 thousand high-performance jobs. At the same time, the residents of the Nanai and Amur areas of the Khabarovsk region will have an advantage in employment. In addition, Far Eastern companies will also be considered when selecting suppliers.

The project will give a momentum to the development of transport infrastructure, energy, housing and social services in remote areas of the Khabarovsk region. The total amount of tax payments to the budgets of all levels for the period of operation will amount to 135.8 billion rubles.
